I now maintain a good relationship with his wife,» he specified about the environment of a mare who is on her way to qualifying for the Breeders.
«If it were a mile, I would tell you that my mare doesn’t lose. But, it’s a distance where the pace is different, it’s more violent. There’s a good mare like Bluefield, who will have the advantage on the outside, but Beth’s Dream is at her best,» he says about this preamble to her participation in the Princess Rooney Invitational Stakes (Gr. 3) in October.

El momento le pertenece a Beth’s Dream(Jess’s Dream), imbatible esta temporada en Gulsftream Park, luego de tres salidas y campaña global de ocho victorias en 15 intentos y casi 400 mil dólares en premios, siempre bajo el entrenamiento de Víctor Barboza Jr.
“Ella tuvo un receso de tres meses en la finca, luego de carreras duras el año pasado, donde le tocó viajar y precisamente lo hizo en el verano”, comenta Barboza sobre la clave para que, en esta etapa, lograra lo más alto en su Perfomance, ya con seis años a cuestas.
Criada por James Gamble, en Ocala, y propiedad de Virginia Gamble, su viuda, se prepara para correr este fin de semana el Sheer Drama Handicap (7F, 100K). “James (Gamble) y yo nos hicimos muy buenos amigos. Lamentablemente él falleció dos días de que la yegua ganara su última carrera. Ahora mantengo una buena relación con su esposa”, precisó sobre el entorno de una yegua que va camino a la clasificación a la Breeders.
“Si fuese una milla, te dijera que mi yegua no pierde. Pero, es una distancia en la que el ritmo es distinto, es más violento. Va una yegua buena como Bluefield, que tendrá la ventaja de la salida ( afuera), pero Beth’s Dream está en su mejor momento”, comenta sobre este preámbulo a lo que será su participación al Princess Rooney Invitational Stakes (Gr. 3), en octubre.
