De feroz atropellada, Roar Ready (Do The Roar) hizo caso omiso al puesto de largada, (cajón 1), y a pesar de correr lejos, último en lote de siete participantes, fue descontando paulatinamente y – en la recta- José Torrealba sacó afuera de sus rivales y fue incontenible en su atropellada.
A 100 metros para la sentencia , su triunfo era un decreto, pasó de largo y en 1’37”89 para la milla. Tercera victoria en la jornada para Víctor Barboza Jr y responde el alazán para los colores de la familia Bennett, que celebró desde New York.
Roar Ready returned to winning ways. With a fierce closing run, Roar Ready (by Do The Roar) overcame the disadvantage of starting from the inside post (gate 1); despite trailing the field of seven early on, he gradually made up ground. In the home stretch, jockey José Torrealba steered him wide of his rivals, and the horse proved unstoppable in his charge to the finish. With 100 meters left to run, victory was already assured; he swept past the leaders, clocking a time of 1:37.89 for the mile. This marked the third win of the day for trainer Víctor Barboza Jr., as the chestnut delivered a victory for the Bennett family, who celebrated the win from New York.
